School Overview
Guiyang Economics and Trade Vocational School was founded in 1984 as a key vocational school at the state level approved by the Ministry of Education. The history of the school can be traced to Guiyang Clothing School. Now it expands the trio school area of Guiyang Economics and Trade Vocational School, Guiyang IT Technical School and Guiyang Call Center and Services Outsourcing Institute as an educational group. In the efforts of all the teachers and students, the school has be selected “The demonstrative vocational school of Guizhou”, “Provincial level key vocational school” and “ State level key vocational school”. In 2005, the group was authorized as the exclusive professional training base of Computing and IT model major of the state level in Guizhou province.
Abiding by the school motto: “Ethics, Capability, Nurture, Career”, we get very closely with employers to deliver apprenticeship system training courses and design our learning curriculum in collaboration with businesses that meets the real needs of the workplace. We make efforts to improve our guiding principal for running our group. We focus on the students’ future career and lifelong education and aim to deliver the knowledge, skills and behaviors that are in demand. We invest in multi-million yuan facilities to provide all support to the students and staff.
There are three campus in the group. The main campus (84,520 sqm) is located in Long Dongbao area with especially favorable campus. Wang Chengpo campus (69,978 sqm) is near Guiyang railway station Where Guiyang Call Center and Services Outsourcing Institute is located and we provide 500 calling seats. It is also the skilled talents training base of Big Data Industry both in Guizhou province and Guiyang city. Qingzhen campus (160,715.79 sqm) with the advanced facilities is building now. The construction fund is 600 million yuan. The aim of the school emphasize on developing students’ professional practical abilities, yet the teachers and students of the school won the first prizes many times at all the levels of all kinds of professional competitions held by officials’ departments in recent years. The school is staffed with 192 excellent faculty and has over 2100 students studying in more than 40 classes at different grade levels. Among the staffs, 165 are professional teachers, and 105 of them obtained double qualified certificates and more than 30 teachers participate in academic activities such as open class, model class, teaching materials editing and examinations’ assigning etc. According to the title of a technical post, 49 teachers are senior teachers and 49 teachers are first-grade teacher. 2 teachers are provincial key disciplines teachers and 10 municipal backbone. The school is the main force in Guizhou provincial educational management. Guided by the needs of human resource on economy development and adjustment of industrial structure of government policies, we improve our ideas of vocational education and implement apprentice system. We very closely link to business and improve courses with all parts. By working with employers in the design of our courses, we help the students find every opportunity to progress as far as they can. Everything we do is employment-focused. Our teachers design the excellent curricular and highlight on professional and efficient teaching. Our evaluate system are based on all the performance of the students.
The students can assess to the school culture with its many activities and clubs are all under the teachers and the peers support. We provide Chinese traditional Culture activities, sports activities, gardening activities and other activities associated to the training courses. Among theses activities we explore psychological guidance and counseling activities to meet the students needs with the agencies and psychological consultants.
We also place high value on supporting group teachers training courses in a rich way that broaden their mind, develop their teaching skills, enhance peer supporting and make themselves more professional.
30 years history encourages all the staff to go further than education. In our group, the students are inspired by the learning experience and empowered to be successful in the workplace, employment and self-employment. We are making great strides towards its goal of "building a high-level educational group well-known both at home and abroad." Here the students learn and grow, here they plan and sow.
